We started off gently at Hôtel Mont Gabriel, the perfect choice thanks to its central location—less than 30 minutes from all our activities—and its warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, and if you can, go for one with a mountain view.
But what truly won everyone over were the aquatic facilities: heated indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna, cold plunge, and even an outdoor pool bar for the grown-ups. The kids spent the evening playing in the water while we relaxed, soaking in the vacation vibes.
For dinner, we headed to Le Victor, the on-site restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious tartare while the kids happily devoured their spaghetti. Everyone went to bed full and happy, ready for a busy day ahead.
We split up the family for even more fun.
While Guillaume and Charlie took on the challenge of Acro-Nature at Sommet Morin Heights—a junior course open to kids from 7 years old—I headed to the Sommet Saint-Sauveur Water Park with the younger ones.
We rented a cabana to relax in the shade, and everyone enjoyed the slides, wave pools, and sections adapted for all ages.
Special mention for the weather promotion: if it rains for more than 10 minutes, you get a free ticket to come back another day. And guess what—an intense thunderstorm forced us to leave early! The Parc F.U.N., which was planned for the evening, will have to wait for another time.
For dinner, we discovered Le Saint-Sau, a family-friendly pub-restaurant with a kids’ menu, coloring crayons, and genuinely good dishes for the grown-ups. Simple, efficient, and very welcoming.
The next day, we headed to a place that charmed the whole family: Au Pays des Merveilles amusement park. Don’t be fooled by its modest entrance—once you step inside, a whole fairy-tale world opens up to you.
Rides for kids aged 2 to 8, giant play structures, obstacle courses, a haunted house, shows, mascots, a hall of mirrors, water games, face painting for kids, and themed sections like Snow White, Cinderella, and dinosaurs. In short, a day filled with magic.
For dinner, we stopped at St-Hubert, a quick classic that everyone loves. And to end our trip on a high note, we returned to the Sommet Saint-Sauveur amusement park in the evening to finally try the Viking at night.
You slowly ascend the mountain before speeding back down to the rhythm of ambient sounds and light effects. You control the speed with a lever. Thrills and laughter guaranteed.
Tip: To make the most of your stay, start with the Parc F.U.N. on Day 1 after checking into the hotel, and save the last evening for the spa and some relaxation.
