A week-end in Laval

Laval is known as an entertaining and dynamic city. It amazes us by the diversity and the impressive number of activities it offers, all within a radius of less than 5 km.

In the exhibition room, the solar system, reproduced on a scale, instantly catches the attention. The atmosphere is quite unique. You can also see one of the five lunar rocks in Canada, an astronaut’s outfit from the Apollo mission, as well as several other elements to learn more about astronautics and the history of space exploration.

2. Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier

Completely renovated and now adjacent to the Cosmodome, the brand new  Musée de la santé Armand-Frappier transports young and old into an exciting scientific world.

The temporary exhibition renewed each year.

  • From your first steps in this room, we invite you to go on a real quest. Throughout the exhibition, you are offered to answer various questions. The different productions allow you to discover clues to help you answer them. Your answers are recorded on your electronic bracelet and this is what determines the success or failure of your mission at the end of your journey.

The permanent exhibition is open for 10 years.

  • Until 2033, exposure 4, 3, 2, 1… Health! makes you discover 4 aspects of health: molecules and cells, individuals, populations and the planet. In this exhibition where fun and learning live in symbiosis, you are led to touch, test, listen and discover through interactive multimedia productions, a wall of animated projections, a life-size playful game and more.

The laboratory

Put on your lab coat to participate in a real laboratory experience! In this 45-minute workshop, you need to solve a health-related issue. A facilitator guides you through the scientific process while popularizing each step. Children love to put themselves in the shoes of a scientist, manipulate and experiment.

Cinq à l'aventure

Sarah Witty

In 2011, I do my baptism of the air: towards the West Indies. A year after the terrible earthquake in Haiti, I will spend two weeks there to help rebuild the country. This cultural immersion leads me to a real passion for travel. Just back, the adventure calls me again. Sometimes as a couple, sometimes as a family, I dive back into different journeys. Over the years, I try different ways to travel but the home exchange remains my favorite. I like to meet cultures and breathe in the great outdoors. A mother of three, I travelled across Canada twice and made about 20 home exchanges around the world.
