I would like to say a special thank you to Superdads and 45 Degré Nord to allowed us to participate at the event while promoting faventure. We made our camping-car, that we named Casita, all bright and shiny for the occasion because we wanted her to bring attention on us.
It was one of warmest day of the summer. It gave us a generous and refreshing idea. We bought a bunch of Mr. Freeze popsicle and we had a lot of fun giving them out for free. That was a great way to share happiness with families that were there for the event. It gave us the opportunity to talk with them about faventure to help them find and share family activities with the community.
Charlie helped us to give 300 Mr Freezes
I really enjoyed watching people's reaction when they understood the concept of addind their favorite family activities and discovering the ones of the others on our platform. Being with face to face with people is so much fun !
Charlie, Nicolas and Alaska were with us at the event. We didn't have a babysitter, so we brought them with us. Anyway, all the kids did great. I have to give an award for Charlie that enjoyed so much getting in touch with families. I admire her interpersonal skills.
After talking hours with families, Guillaume went with Charlie and Nicolas for the obstacle race. They went through 3 km and achieved all the obstacles with their dad. They were so proud when they arrived at the finish line. Guillaume said to me that the different station gave them each time the motivation to go further. They were thrilled to get to the next test. Every time, it was a new surprise to discover.
The race of Guillaume and kids
Superdads is more then just a race. But what is it really ?
It all started with Gabriel and Kaleb that had the idea of changing the world one dad at the time. They both lost their father at a young age. They decided to help other dads to take healthy habits and to take care of themselves so they can be better for themself and others. Their families will be able to appreciate spending and take time with them.
With that in mind, creating a race for dads is a great way to accomplish their mission, and at the same time integrate the moms and kids to the fun!
It's with a lot of pride and with the biggest smiles ever that our kids earned their superdads race medals. We really enjoyed our first experience with Superdads and we hope that it wont be the last. One thing is sure, we are looking forward to next year to do the race again. I hope I will be able to make it this time. I'm saving the date and I'm already looking for a babysitter.
Being proud at the end of the race
