Here is the chronicle weekend ideas for October 15-16. The Halloween themed parties have begun and the colours of the trees still embellish the landscape for a dreamy roadtrip or a memorable hike.

1 ) Le grand défi Pierre Lavoie

On October 14, 15 or 16, 2022, all families across Quebec can take part in the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie’s 5km Grande Marche for free. More than 100 municipalities are participating in this great event. It’s a great way to show that physical activity and healthy living is fun for the whole family. 

You can register and participate in one of the organized events, but it is also possible to do the walk in the place you want. It’s important to register to show your support for the cause and maybe win the contest and win one of the 50 coats.

2 ) Mythes et légendes aux Plaines d’Abraham

For people in the Quebec City area, the Plains of Abraham offer a family treasure hunt that is available until November 6, 2022. In a mysterious atmosphere, you can use the tools in your magic bag to find the treasures.  

Good to know: 

Cost 12$ / duration approximately 1h15 

This adventure is for children between 5 and 9 years old.

3 ) Serre d'Aigle at Plains of Abraham

If the weather is good, why not combine one activity with another. The people of Quebec City are spoiled. On October 16, 2022, there will be a show that will amaze your minis. Owls, owls, falcons and other birds of prey will take turns to impress the gallery with their prowess.

4 ) What to do if it's raining?

If it rains too much, you can take advantage of the situation to visit two Halloween activities to do during a visit to the Aquarium de Québec. Every Saturday and Sunday until October 30, 2022, the witches' laboratory and the jellyfish tale show you unusual animals that conceal their share of mystery.

5 ) La Ronde for scarier times

For families in Greater Montreal, La Ronde organizes until October 30, Pumpkin Festival for small children. In addition to the rides, there will be magicians, balloon sculptors, the queen and king sweets offering candy to the little ones, a children’s maze and several other animations. For the younger ones, it closes at 18:00 to give way to more fear. 

For those 12 and over, there will be the Festival de la Frayeur in the evening. Haunted houses, areas of fear and rides to bring thrills to the greatest. Moving characters will help make more nightmares.

6) Get into Halloween's ambiance

For families in all regions, why not take advantage of this long holiday to truly immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Halloween. If your Halloween decorations aren’t installed, this is the perfect time to do it. 

Then I suggest you pick your squash and pumpkins. It is so much more fun and especially more exciting for children to go to the pumpkin field to go and choose the right one. Here is a small list of places to pick

7 ) Live the colors at Ski St-Bruno

The Saint-Bruno ski resort brings Les Couleurs to Montérégie families during the many weekends from September to November 6, 2022. Activities planned for October 15-16 are:
